A little about Jenny McGee
Once upon a time a mother and graphic designer, age 31, was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer and given a 50/50 chance of surviving the next 5 years. After two years of intensive treatments the realization came that to go beyond the day to day survival mode her love of art could be used to express emotions and emulate the beauty found within each one of us. Art became the release and a new horizon was discovered where color, texture and unfiltered expression could connect pain and healing. This art symbolizes victory.
The genuine crushed pearls in each of her pieces represent the hard glistening object of ourself produced within the soft mollusk like flesh of our lives, scars and all.
